Transparent fees and thoughtful policies to support your child’s learning
Our fees and policies are designed to be fair, reasonable, and reflective of the personalized, high-quality support we provide. Rooted in a Montessori-aligned, Science of Reading-informed approach, our programs are thoughtfully designed to help children build essential early literacy skills, including phonics, blending, decoding, and reading fluency.
Tutoring Options and Pricing
We offer flexible options to suit your family's needs! There are great benefits to our small-group pod structure.
Following the initial literacy assessment, families will be offered available pod options based on their child's learning needs and family schedule. Once a placement is agreed upon, payment is required to secure the child's spot.
Initial assessments are 45 minutes.
Pod tutor sessions are 1 hour in length.

Payment Methods
We accept e-transfer and credit card payments. Payment for all sessions, including bundles and packages, is required prior to the first scheduled session.
Credit card payments can be made securely through your invoice. E-transfer payments can be sent to literacypodtutoring@gmail.com. If a password is required, please use your child’s first name.
For initial assessments, payment is required the same day.

Refer family and friends and receive 30 minutes of tutoring credit as our way of saying thank you.
Credits may be combined, saved, or put toward future tutoring sessions, giving you the flexibility to use them when they are most helpful for your family.
Important policies
| Policy | Details |

| Late cancellations / no-shows | Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours, or missed without notice, are not eligible for rescheduling or credit. |
| Illness | If your child is unwell, please notify us as soon as possible. We understand that illness happens and offer one rescheduled session per bundle with at least 4 hours’ notice. Additional flexibility may be considered when needed. |
| Bundle sessions | Bundled sessions are designed to support consistency and must be used within 12 weeks of purchase. This timeframe helps maintain continuity and steady progress in learning. |
| Refund policy | Refunds for unused sessions may be requested within 30 days of purchase. Approved refunds are subject to a 10% cancellation and administrative fee. Any sessions already completed will be deducted from the refund. Sessions that have expired are not eligible for a refund. |
| Tutor cancellations | In the rare event that a session is cancelled by your tutor, it will be rescheduled at a convenient time or fully credited to your account. |
Student Responsibility
We believe every child can thrive with the right support and clear expectations. To ensure a rewarding experience for all, students are expected to:
- Attend sessions on time.
- Participate respectfully and to the best of their ability.
- Bring any required materials, if applicable.
- Engage in any agreed-upon practice between sessions, when appropriate.
Parent's Responsibility
Your partnership is vital to your child's progress. Parents and guardians agree to:
- Ensure the student attends all scheduled sessions on time and is ready to participate.
- Provide at least 24 hours’ notice for absences, cancellations, or schedule changes whenever possible.
- Share relevant information (such as report cards, assessments, or learning goals) to help guide instruction.
- Support learning between sessions when appropriate.
- Inform the tutor of any changes that may impact the student’s learning or participation.
- Provide two weeks’ written notice if discontinuing tutoring services.
- Maintain respectful and open communication regarding scheduling, progress, and any concerns.
Tutor's Responsibility
Our dedicated tutors are committed to providing the best learning environment. The tutor will:
- Provide planned, structured literacy instruction based on each child’s needs and goals.
- Create a calm, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
- Use evidence-informed and Montessori-aligned approach.
- Communicate progress, observations, and next steps with families as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide reasonable notice if a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.
